YPI Crew have sponsored yacht captain and racing car driver Lars Viljoen in this year's SPEED Euroseries.

Director of YPI Crew, Laurence Reymann is known for her passion for life and energy in the work place. To date, both these attributes have been employed to great effect within the crew recruitment industry. For the first time however, this year her attention will be split between the office in Antibes and the race track, as YPI Crew sponsors one of their own yacht captains in the SPEED Euroseries.

"Racing and Yachting are both high-end pursuits fostering the type of excellence which is the cornerstone of my vision for YPI Crew. Skill, energy, courage and determination are qualities I value a lot and Lars embodies these qualities both as a professional yacht captain and as a racing car driver." Comments Laurence.

Captain of the M/Y PRINCESS LILY, Lars will be exchanging his comfortable bridge with a cramped cockpit for this year's series.

"I believe yachting and motorsport go hand in hand," he says. "There are many similarities between the two. You see the two worlds combining for the Monaco, Valencia and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and other circuits like Dubai, Barcelona and Macau. Both are fast and luxurious worlds that always entice you back for more, this is probably why I like them so much".

When Lars first approached YPI Crew his passion and ability were immediately obvious to Laurence and everyone involved in her Antibes crew agency.

"I felt it was exactly the right thing to do. I want to be able to help people passionate about life, people like Lars, to achieve their goals. It is also a fun and exciting way for YPI Crew to communicate with our candidates and clients and it's great to fly the YPI Crew flag over some of Europe's legendary race tracks, the playgrounds for so many of our yacht owners."

Though not initially recognised by many, participation in the SPEED Euroseries is an important step for any driver with aspirations to compete in series such as Le Mans or 24h racing.

Lars drives a Ligier and will be competing in all this year's SPEED Euroseries races, live on Europe's racetracks or in supporter's homes on Sky TV.
