In 2022 YPI CREW once again reported all-time high sales and number of crew placements despite the uncertainty of the geopolitical situation. (As a company, YPI CREW follows French, EU, UK, USA and UN sanction regimes). The demand from our clients has remained strong and the number of crew placements increased by 6% to just under 900 crew placed, whist our revenue increased by 12% boosted by a perhaps surprising high level of crew registration: +27% from 2021 to 2022.

Thanks to the great job of the entire team, recruiters, coordinators, marketing, we achieved our target for 2022, something that we can all feel very proud about and which confirms our position as a frontrunner in the industry.

We have benefited from our solid positioning in the recruitment market thanks to twenty years of trading and the respect our recruiters have earned over time building connections trust and partnerships with our clients, many of which started with us as candidates.

40% of our crew placements were carried out on yachts 70m+, 32% on yachts between 51 and 70 meters, 25% on yachts between 31 and 50 meters and 3% on yachts below 30 meters consolidating our position as the "large yachts" crew recruitment agency. As always, give or take one percent, 93% of our jobs were on Motor Yachts, 7% on Sailing Yachts and 61% of the positions were on private yachts, a reminder for crew, especially junior crew, to give priority to the acquisition of new skills as a criteria to joining a vessel instead of chasing that illusive charter yacht.

Moving forward, our focus for 2023 will be twofold: the consolidation and growth of our teams of recruiters initially in the captain/officer department and interior department where we are currently hiring, and, the investment and deployment of a new CRM. We believe this will constitute powerful growth drivers for our business yet we remain cautious and vigilant given the world uncertainties. Parallel to this, as before, we remain interested in talking with other key players in the market in the same or related segment to discuss opportunities via the M&A department of our shareholders Schulte Maritime Services in Singapore.

We are confident in our ability to develop and adapt ourselves and carry on delivering results for our shareholders; the number of new crew registration in January 2023 has already increased by 11% from January 2022.
