Alex joined the yachting industry back in 2016 when she did a season onboard. After that she decided to go land-based so she was working for an interior training company for 3 years gaining a lot of knowledge. She then started recruiting in 2019 and found her passion for it.
Alex grew up in Ireland and comes from an equine background. The love for horses took her to Canada and the UK to professionally groom for the international show jumping teams there.
Outside work, Alex is very social and loves being outdoors with her dog Harvey and exploring new places.
What do you find most rewarding about working in yacht crew recruitment?
“Working at YPI CREW is a breath of fresh air. It makes your job 100% more enjoyable when you get to work with your great friends. Being able to place new crew and start their career is a wonderful feeling which I enjoy immensely.”
